Bonnie & Frank D'Angelo came to EXIT Realty via RE/MAX. Frank made the transition from the education industry to joining the real estate industry with RE/MAX in the fall of 1999. With an immediate climb to the 100 Club, it became apparent that he might need some help. Bonnie joined the industry and felt somewhat stifled by the desk fee dilemma associated with RE/MAX, thus remained a relatively silent partner with Frank who handled all contracts for our team. After several years, we explored independent options including almost opening one of the first Keller Williams Franchises in the northwest suburbs of Minneapolis. Upon realizing that the KW option seemed very lucrative to us as franchise owners, it seemed very difficult for us to affect former RE/MAX colleagues to come over to a relatively new company for a compensation plan that was both difficult to explain and not as lucrative for the agents versus owners. Then in 2005, EXIT arrived to Minnesota. It took us less than an hour to realize There is something really big going on here'. Not only could we not wait to get involved at the agent level, we decided to pursue a franchise option as well. Immediately, Bonnie had her identity as a producing agent and we both enjoyed immediate success with our own residual income on top of our regular production.
