Courtney Sikes-Waddell

Courtney Sikes Waddell is a native of Meriwether County, Georgia with 5 years of experience in the real estate industry. In addition, she has over 10 years of customer service and Journalism experience working as a Newspaper Reporter at her local newspaper. She reported on Government meetings such as her local City Council and County Commissioner meetings. Her years spent in the newspaper industry helped her gain important skills that allow her to provide the best service to her clients in real estate. Courtney began her career in real estate after purchasing her first home and having to advocate for her rights as a homeowner. 

“In 2015, my great grandparents passed away and their home of 50 years that they built in 1959 together was foreclosed on, so I purchased it to keep it in my family. After purchasing the home, I began remodeling it with the help of my dad who was in the construction industry and my husband who is good at carpentry as well. During that time, I was faced with many hard decisions to make as a homeowner both financially and emotionally. I lost a few relationships with family members because of purchasing the home because I refused to allow them to take advantage of me financially. At the age of 19 years old, I was left with no choice, but to seek legal action and as a property owner, I exercised my legal rights in order to protect my property. It was a lengthy and exhausting process, but I never gave up and I learned a lot about real estate along the way. It was a bitter-sweet decision, but I wanted something positive to come out of a negative situation so I sold the property to someone who I knew would love it as much as I did, where they could make new memories. I know in my heart that my great grandparents are proud of me and they would understand my reasons for deciding to sell it. This journey inspired me to become a Realtor so that I could be a voice for my clients because I felt like I did not have a voice during my experience,” said Courtney.

When she is not working on real estate, Courtney enjoys working on projects outdoors with her husband and spending time with family. She also loves listening to music and motivational speeches, creating artwork and writing. She prides herself on having a strong work ethic, attention to detail and a positive attitude. Her goal is to make each client feel comfortable and at ease with the process of buying, selling, or leasing a home by providing clear communication and updates along the way. She is currently working on obtaining her brokers license in real estate.
