With 6 years of experience as a Realtor and 12 years as a public education k-12 teacher, I bring that background to help educate home buyers and sellers along the Front Range from Denver to Colorado Springs and up the I-70 corridor. I believe wholeheartedly in listening to my clients, being available to answer any and all questions, and most importantly to be their advocate in this process. I want my clients to feel comfortable that they were informed during the whole process and have walked away more knowledgeable about the buying and selling process. My background with a Masters degree in geography helps immensely in real estate, as does my inside knowledge on all of the school districts and many individual schools. I am rare among Realtors who enjoys covering a large geographic area and I have helped everyone from first-time buyers to luxury home buyers to investors purchasing auction properties where they have profited over $100,000 on a purchase. I have lived in Colorado Springs, Denver, and Georgetown and enjoy getting out over a large area as the market can be very different and it is very helpful to prospective buyers that they have an agent well educated on a number of areas.
Besides helping buyers and sellers, I fix up properties with my dad to resell them and have done properties from Colorado Springs to Conifer. As a result, I am constantly in homes, have a pulse on the market up and down the Front Range, and know exactly how to spot good deals and just as importantly, can spot the items that are red flags.
My promise to my clients is that I never charge any bogus transaction fees to buyers which often range from $250-$500 from other agents. I am also very upfront on commissions with sellers as part of the education process. I also promise that there is no bait and switch - I work with you through the whole transaction - never an assistant or someone unlicensed. I am not trying to help the most buyers and sellers; I believe in high quality attention to every client.
In my spare time, I love to travel -- having visited almost 50 countries on 6 continents. I am also a competitive curler (the Olympic sport) and you can often find me multiple times a week during the winter season at the Denver Curling Club in Golden. I have resided in beautiful northern El Paso county since 2003 and own a vacation rental in Georgetown. My son, who will often be found navigating homes with me, is in elementary school in the fantastic Lewis Palmer 38 School District in Monument and is a Colorado native.
