Melissa Shea

Melissa J. Shea is a licensed Real Estate Broker in CT and NY and Regional Owner of EXIT Realty CT and RI.  Shehas been the President of the Long Island Real Estate InvestorAssociation (LIREIA) since November of 2007. The organizationhas been in existence since 2001. She has been a successful small business owner since 1996 and a real estate investor since 2004. Melissa is licensed as a Broker with EXIT Realty Everyday In NY  and EXIT Realty Group in CT as a real estate Broke rand licensed commercial loan officer for all 50 states. Melissa began investing in real estate in May of 2004 by 2009 acquired a portfolio of over 360 rental units mainly in the Alabama and Mississippi areas. Which included 6 apartment complexes inwhich were renovated. Currently completed over 600 fix and flips and new construction for both residential and commercial. She has completed over 100 million in real estate transactions. She has been an educator in the real estate investing community inwhich she has taught over 100 students, 84% of students haveearned their investment back within 2 years. 40% of the students have earned $100K in real estate investing in either equity orcash flow. 

Melissa focuses on distressed short sales in the USand modifications. In addition, Melissa has experience in purchasing private notes,brokering private capital and has  raised over $40 Million in capital for real estate,  and operated a property management company,  She and her husband has built new construction homes for affordable housing and currently building new homes in South Carolina and a travel center help create employment for those impacted by domestic violence. Melissa is an international speaker, and a two-time author with Mission Matters and the Jack Canfield group. In 2019 was voted top 100 women in Real Estate. 

In 2020 she sold one of her companies for over $3 Million to an international company and was published in Forbes magazine. She and her husband John are founders of a not for profitorganization Clear the Way Supportive Housing, Corp forforeclosure prevention, homelessness prevention and affordablehousing especially for those with disabilities. Melissa and John live on Kent Island MD with their 8 children.
