Michael Beyer

Michael Beyer served four years in the US Air Force overseas. Returning home, he received a masters degree in art history and worked in local museums and galleries, then received a second masters degree in education, followed by a doctorate in education leadership. Michael spent more than 15 years as a teacher and principal in the Chicago Public Schools.

In 2018 Michael transitioned out of education and has been working in real estate, having sold homes from the far north side to the south side, and helped clients buy homes from the Western suburbs to downtown. Michaels wife manages and art gallery in the West Loop, having met her in their masters art history program. They have two children who attend Near North Montessori, where Mary is on the Board.

From his experience working in dozens of schools across Chicago and supporting his childrens private school, Michael is uniquely positioned to help his real estate clients understand the connections between housing and education. With his background in art history Michael can also help clients appreciate the architecture and design aspects of their properties for improved marketing.
