I was born and raised in New York City; third generation Staten Islander. Staten Island is where my parents owned a restaurant, where I had my first job at age 13 working in the kitchen. After graduating from Curtis High School, I attended the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. I returned to the family business, managing the kitchen, creating new dishes, and training staff, which I found very gratifying. It was at the family restaurant that I met my husband Frank who, after observing me at work and training the staff, thought I would make a great teacher.
Frank encouraged me to return to school where I earned my Master's in elementary education. I began my teaching career at a local Montessori school that was close to home. I was able to ride my bike to work and wave to my students as they arrived in the morning. Not long after, I was hired by the New York City Board of Education, and taught kindergarten, first, and second grades, during my long tenure at Public School 39 in Staten Island's South Beach. I volunteered and arrived early each morning, to make sure the children started their day right with a healthy breakfast.
Now, after relocating to Palm Coast, I am getting to live the second part of my life's dream. Frank and I feel so fortunate to have found such a sense of community in Palm Coast. Each day is a gift of sea breezes and sunshine, early morning walks along A1A, neighbors who are warm and welcoming, yoga classes at the Palm Coast Community Center and great restaurants. This is a gift I want to share, one that I feel confident will bring you the same happiness I have found living here.
I want to guide you toward finding a home you can celebrate!
