Shirley Frierson

I was educated in Nashville Public Schools and hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Management and Human Relations from Trevecca Nazarene University and a Master's Degree in Organizational Leadership. I am a proud member of The Temple Church in Nashville, Tennessee. I was born and raised in Davidson County to Mary Frances Beard and the late LeRoy Beard. I have one daughter, Kenisha, and two granddaughters, Alexis and Alana. I am long active in community service and volunteer work and an active participant in the American Cancer Society Making Strides for Breast Cancer and Race for the Cure.

I have served as a state employee for over 24 years in various capacities. Currently, I serve at the Tennessee General Assembly as an Executive Administrative Assistant in the Senate. Prior to that, I served as a Senior Policy Advisor at the Tennessee Regulatory Authority (TRA) for more than 18 years. Prior to joining the TRA, I served as a member of Governor Ned McWherters personal staff. I was appointed as a board member to serve a four year term on the State Labor and Workforce Development Board by Governor Phil Bredesen in 2010.

I joined Exit Elite Realty in 2007, Exit Realty Diversified in 2013, and Exit Realty Elite in 2015. I am a member of the National Association of Realtors, Tennessee Association of Realtors and the Robertson County Association of Realtors. I serve as a member and officer of the Board of Directors at the Robertson County Association of Realtors. I have held, in various areas, a number of Real Estate Workshops to educate the general public on matters that are specific to homeowners and of interest to potential first time home buyers.
