A native of Wiggins, MS with a B.A. in Education from The University of Mississippi, Master of Education, Specialist Degree, and ABD Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from William Carey University, Shyra Galloway is no stranger to the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

Above all else, Shyra loves being Mommy to Kyla who is a senior in high school and Prince who is a proud first grader. Along with her two children, her nephew, Benjamin and niece, Nola are the reasons for all that she does- the 4 Galloway Babies. Shyra is very active in her kids' academics, serving as a parent volunteer for many clubs and organizations, an advocate for children on the Autism Spectrum, and the proud Band Booster President for the Stone High "Pride."

Known by many as a volunteer-extraordinaire, Shyra has been recognized for her selfless acts of service by various entities across the state and region. In 2022, the Office of Governor Tate Reeves and Volunteer Mississippi recognized Shyra's volunteer services and dedication by presenting her with the "GIVE" Award for Outstanding Service in Community Empowerment. The same year, Shyra was recognized as one of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Top 10 Under 40. She is a 2022 Leadership Gulf Coast graduate.

Shyra serves on the United Way of South Mississippi's Board of Directors and previously served as Vice President of Community Impact. She is the Economic Development Chair for the Stone County Branch of the NAACP and the 2020 Community Service Award recipient for the organization.

Shyra is the Public Relations Chair for the Stone County Countywide Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade Committee and a Pine Forest Regional Library Board Member. Shyra has previously served on the Board of Directors for the Stone County Chamber of Commerce, Stone County Kiwanis Club, the Advisory Board for Memorial Hospital at Stone County, and the Stone County Minority Business Council.

After twelve years in education, Shyra decided to do what she always dreamed of and became a licensed Real Estate Agent, proudly joining the EXIT Realty family in 2020. Shyra proudly serves as an EXIT Realty International Ambassador. In 2022, she was recognized Internationally as a Bronze Level Agent. In both 2021 and 2022, she received the Community Ambassador Award for EXIT Realty of Mississippi and the 2022 Transformational Growth Award for EXIT Realty of Mississippi. Shyra was one of the Top 100 Real Estate Agents in 2022 and 2023 at EXIT Realty South Central which includes Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Oklahoma. She has received numerous production awards, and continues to be a multi-million dollar producing agent.

On January 4, 2024, Shyra suffered a tremendous loss when Heaven gained her brother, best friend, protector, and hero- Officer Kenya D. Galloway of Atlanta Police Department. The loss of her only sibling was one that could have easily stopped her, but when faced with such pain and void, she did what he would have wanted her to do and kept going in his honor. On February 14, 2024, Shyra became a licensed Real Estate Broker and through perseverance and by Faith, she became the Principal Broker and Owner of EXIT By Faith Realty on March 3, 2024- the first black owned real estate brokerage to open in Stone County.

Shyra’s testimony of strength, perseverance, determination, and faith are all rooted in her upbringing. Her father, a pastor known to all as “The Broker Dad” and her mother, a church pianist since age 10 who retired to become a full time Granny, both whom she appreciates more than words can express. The ability to persevere through the adversities Shyra has faced and continues to face are all due to her faith in God. In addition to God’s Word, she now uses the last words that her brother and forever guardian angel sent to her via text message hours before his passing as motivation. A text Kenya sent that simply said, “You Got This!”

Shyra takes pride in changing lives and creating opportunities through both real estate and through the services she renders throughout the communities she serves. Beyond accolades and achievements, Shyra is a dedicated mentor to others and notes that seeing the lives she's blessed to touch reach success is what makes her feel successful.
