I am Tom Stanton, and I am committed to that kind of personal service for each of my clients.
I was raised in South Alabama by hard-working, Christian business owners. My dad, a navy veteran, was an entrepreneur, spending most of his career in the oil and timber business. My mom served families in the area as a local realtor, finally retiring at the age of 82. From them, I learned to work hard and put people first. The Golden Rule reigned supreme in our home, so I learned the value of serving others and treating all people with respect.
I studied Building Science at Auburn University and began my professional career in the construction industry. I worked as a laborer, job superintendent, and cost estimator. I worked in both commercial and residential construction. From these positions, I learned about quality construction and the costs and materials involved in the building process.
I decided to expand my knowledge of real estate and became a licensed Alabama Real Estate Salesman in 1984. I became a full time Realtor when I moved my family to Gulf Shores in 1989.
My wife and I have enjoyed a wonderful life in the area. Although our children are grown, we are still active in our community. I strive to encourage our young people by supporting their efforts in band, theatre, sports, and missions among others, and I currently serve on the board of directors for Youth Reach. Additionally, I am active in my church where I sing in the choir, teach Sunday School, and serve as a deacon. Baldwin County is our home, and we are dedicated to serving our community and the people who live here.
