John Covington is a resident of Lake Murray, SC.  As a licensed Realtor®, his focus is residential properties and acreage on Lake Murray, as well as properties in Richland, Lexington, Newberry, and Orangeburg Counties.  He also has experience with agricultural/timber land purchases and investment property.

John grew up on a farm in the small town of Norway, SC where he learned the value of hard work and dedication.  After receiving his degree in Finance from Francis Marion University, John moved to Columbia to begin a career with a national brand in construction equipment sales and rentals.  John continued his training receiving certification from Midlands Technical College in Residential Contractor Business, Residential Building Codes, Residential Building Framing & Finishing, Residential Building Site Prep, and General Construction Safety.

He advanced to Area Manager and was responsible for two dealerships which ranked number two in market share. During his career, John developed advanced skills in contract negotiation, teamwork, and time management.  Selling or Buying real estate is a fun and exciting journey, yet the process can be frustrating and confusing.  John's nearly 30 years of professional experience in sales and management, coupled with strong family values, will take the stress out of the process, and produce results for you.

John and his wife, Perry, have called the shores of Lake Murray their home for over 25 years. They have two children, Emily Grace (18) and Dantzler (15), along with the neighborhoods favorite dog, Lucky.  John is an active member of Zion United Methodist Church, Prosperity SC and has served in various leadership roles.   His hobbies include boating, hunting, fishing, golfing, and cooking on the grill.
