Deena Cooper-Hammond

Born and raised in Chicago, Deena Cooper-Hammond has a passion for our city's real estate. From the bungalows on the North and South Side, the stone and prairie style of the West Side to the crowned jewels that glisten along our world renowned skyline (and everything else in between), Deena knows that Chicago holds some of the most fascinating property in the world. A true native Chicagoan, Deena was born on the West Side in the Garfield Park neighborhood and then moved with her family to the South Side to the South Chicago neighborhood, where she graduated from Whitney Young High School. After graduating college (with a degree in Accounting from Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA) Ms. Cooper-Hammond of course felt called back home and returned to our city, marrying and moving to North Lawndale where she and her husband raised 3 children, now with 2 grandchildren. She still resides here in a greystone multi-unit building she owns and manages, as her family has deep ties to the neighborhood spanning five generations.

Before her career as a Realtor, she dedicated over 34 years of service to the City of Chicago as an accountant, responsible for more than $2 billion of assets including the Chicago Skyway and city's airports.
