“The house we sold was an old farmhouse built in the 1870's and it had been rented out for forty years before we bought it in 2007. Needless to say, it was a wreck. Over the next fourteen years, we updated the most important structural items such as the roof, heating, cooling, windows, and some of the plumbing. With college expenses for our daughter, we didn't have much left for cosmetic changes, except for having the house painted inside and out.When we were going to put the house on the market, a friend of mine recommended Joe Lopez as a realtor. He came over and did an inspection which revealed hidden termite and water damage in the floor joists and in the unused storage area above the garage. In addition, the asbestos tape on all the furnace ductwork was in such bad shape that it had to replaced. There were other less-critical things I can't remember.Unfortunately, this was at a time when it was almost impossible to find any contractor because of all the remodeling, additions, and building going on. Joe had contacts in the construction industry and was able to find some people who did excellent work for us at a reasonable price.We finally got the house on the market and it sold in a short time. I can honestly say that if it weren't for Joe Lopez, we would never have been able to have sold the house at anywhere near the price we got.As a realtor, he always went way beyond the call of duty in assisting us with anything we needed. And as a human being, it's my opinion that you'd be hard-pressed to find a better one. I have no reservations about giving him my highest recommendation.”
