Marla Baldwin

Marla is a native of Lake Charles, with a BS degree in Marketing/ Management from McNeese State University. As a resident of the Moss Bluff community for over 20 years, she is very familiar with Lake Charles and its surrounding areas. Her career began as a marketing support representative with Lanier Worldwide, at the time a Fortune 500 Company. During that 5 year span, Marla was recognized for her dedication to customer service which included always going that "extra mile".

After marriage and the arrival of her first child, she decided to switch gears and pursue her childhood dream of becoming an elementary school teacher. During her 26 years at Gillis Elementary, she was nominated as Gillis Elementary's "New Teacher of the Year" and "Teacher of the Year" twice. She wrote many grants and was able to attend teacher training sessions across the United States learning new strategies to make her science lessons more meaningful and engaging.

After raising 4 children, two of whom have successfully entered the workforce and the last two (twins) off to college to play softball for LSUE and then Belhaven University, Marla once again found herself ready for a career change. The skills developed during her teaching career helped her transition smoothly into a new career as a real estate agent.

From teacher to real estate agent, from molding minds to listing homes, still an educator at heart, Marla looks forward to the opportunity of helping her clients navigate their way to home ownership. Buying or selling a home, looking for an investment property or that perfect tract of land, Marla is excited to put her enthusiasm, determination, multi-tasking and organizational skills to work for you to ensure a process that is as simple and enjoyable as possible.
