I arrived in Ottawa on a cold winter night in February 2010, after
leaving Seoul, South Korea, with just two suitcases and $1,000 in my
pocket. I did not know anyone here, but I carried a deep sense of
determination and excitement for a new beginning.

The early days were not easy, but through hard work and persistence,
I built a life I’m proud of. Over time, Ottawa became more than just
the place I live — it became my second home.
Having gone through renting, buying, and selling homes myself, I truly
understand the stress, uncertainty, and joy that come with every step
