This is the historic 1909 two room Montrose Schoolhouse, which was conveyed by MD Dept of Transportation to Peerless Rockville Historic Preservation, Ltd, which has Md Historical Trust funds for partial renovation and updating. With three large classrooms ( 3rd was added in 1940's) it has been used for offices but has plans to be classroom space for Pre-K and other educational uses. Plans are available and some portions are posted in MLS Documents. This project is expected to require 6-9 months for completion into warm, lit space, but early participation from a contract tenant - a pre-school operator, or otherwise- is encouraged. Building must meet state specs for pre-school use and the operator must then be vetted by Montgomery County, office of pre-school education, which can provide additional information on licensing.
